HYDERABAD.14.02.2026 : The much-awaited Rythu Bharosa funds are likely to be credited into farmers’ bank accounts from February 17 or 18. The state government has completed arrangements to release the Rythu Bharosa assistance after receiving necessary financial approvals.
Officials said the finance department has already allocated funds for the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The assistance will be deposited once final orders are issued by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Rythu Bharosa Funds to Be Released After Election Code Ends
The municipal election code is expected to end on February 16. Following this, farmers may start receiving alerts on their mobile phones regarding the credit of Rythu Bharosa funds from February 17 or 18.
The government had initially planned to release the amount before the Sankranti festival in January. However, due to a shortage of funds, the release was postponed to February.
Government sources indicate that after achieving positive results in the recent municipal elections, preparations are underway for MPTC and ZPTC elections, likely to be held in March. There are indications that a notification for Parishad elections may be issued by the end of this month.
Rs 8,744 Crore Transferred During Kharif Season
During the 2025-26 Kharif season, a total of 69,39,548 beneficiaries received Rythu Bharosa assistance. The government transferred Rs 8,744.13 crore at the rate of Rs 6,000 per acre.
The amount was deposited over nine days, beginning with one acre on the first day. In total, assistance was provided for 1.46 crore acres during the monsoon season.
For the upcoming Yasangi season, the government plans to extend Rythu Bharosa funds to the same 1.46 crore acres. Officials stated that advance arrangements have been completed to ensure smooth transfer of funds this time as well.
Loan from RBI to Mobilise Funds
To mobilise the required funds for the scheme, the state government secured a loan of Rs 9,000 crore from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on the 10th of this month.
This financial support is expected to help the government release the Rythu Bharosa assistance without further delay.
Satellite Survey to Identify Bogus Beneficiaries
A satellite survey was conducted under the supervision of Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad, to identify cultivated lands and detect bogus beneficiaries.
The university recently submitted its report to the government, detailing land cultivation patterns and irregularities. However, the government has decided in principle to continue Rythu Bharosa funds for all beneficiaries who received assistance during the monsoon season, irrespective of the survey findings.
No Clarity Yet on New Applications
After the monsoon season, agricultural land transactions took place in several districts. Many farmers who purchased new lands are waiting for registration to receive Rythu Bharosa benefits.
Farmers have been visiting Mandal Agriculture Officer offices seeking clarification. However, officials are informing them that new applications cannot be accepted unless the government issues specific guidelines.
There is also no clarity on the cut-off date for land registration that will be considered for the current Rythu Bharosa cycle. Farmers are awaiting an official announcement on this matter.
