Bhadrachalam, April 6: CM Revanth Reddy visited Sarapaka village in Burgampadu mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. During his visit, he had a meal at the house of a rice scheme beneficiary. He spoke to the family and asked about their daily life and struggles.

The Chief Minister sat and ate with the family. He asked a woman named Tulasamma about the quality and usefulness of the rice they receive. Tulasamma said that earlier, they were not very interested in the rice. But now, the rice is helpful and useful for her family.
CM Revanth Reddy also asked if they are receiving 200 units of free electricity and the Rs. 500 gas cylinder scheme. Tulasamma said she was happy with these schemes and added that the free bus ride was very helpful for her family.
The Telangana government recently launched a new rice distribution program on the occasion of Ugadi. This is the first time such a program has started in India where rice is given through ration shops.
CM Revanth Reddy, along with Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, officially launched the scheme at a large public meeting in Huzurnagar. On stage, the CM gave rice bags to ten beneficiaries.
Under this scheme, each ration card holder will receive 6 kg of rice from the government.
