Hyderabad.17.09.2024: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy is set to launch the State’s first-ever Telangana MSME Policy on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The special event will also be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Dr. G Malsur, Director of Industries.
The Telangana MSME Policy will focus on supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state. It is expected to emphasize research and development (R&D), offer support to women entrepreneurs, and include clear guidelines for land allocation. The policy aims to provide a boost to the MSME sector and promote innovation.
Additionally, the government is planning to introduce a fund to help MSMEs upgrade their technology. This fund will be a crucial part of the Telangana MSME Policy, providing the necessary resources for businesses to grow and compete in the modern market.
The Telangana government has invited MSME bodies, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to the launch event. Many industrialists are also hoping for a positive announcement regarding long-pending incentives for MSMEs, which currently amount to around Rs 3,200 crore. The delay in these payments has been a major concern for MSME entrepreneurs in Telangana.
Before finalizing the Telangana MSME Policy, the Industries Department consulted various stakeholders, including industry bodies and business leaders, to gather their inputs. Minister Sridhar Babu also held discussions with these groups to ensure that the policy addresses the needs of the MSME sector.
The launch of the Telangana MSME Policy marks a significant step towards supporting small businesses and encouraging entrepreneurship in the state.
