Hyderabad,21.06.2024 : The suicide of Rupa Devi, the wife of Telangana Congress MLA Medipalli Satyam from Choppadandi in Karimnagar district, has shocked the community. Rupa Devi, a government teacher in Vikarabad district, took her own life on Thursday night by hanging herself at her residence in Panchsheela Colony, Alwal.
The exact reasons behind her suicide are currently unknown. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause. Rupa Devi’s body has been moved to a private hospital in Kompally.
MLA Medipalli Satyam and Rupa Devi have two children. It has been noted that Rupa Devi had not attended school for the past two days. On the day of the incident, MLA Satyam was in his constituency from morning until evening.
A few days prior to this tragedy, the MLA’s family, along with some relatives, had visited several shrines, including Tirumala. The community is now left wondering what could have led to this unfortunate event, which came to light in the middle of the night.
