Adilabad.09.08.2024: The Telangana state government is setting up Advanced Technical Skill Training Centres (ATCs) in all districts as part of an initiative to equip students and young people with professional skills, making them more employable. These new centres will be linked to existing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and each centre will have its own building, costing ₹4.76 crore.
The Telangana government has partnered with Tata Technologies to establish these centres, providing all the necessary equipment. Tata Technologies will offer long-term, short-term, and bridge courses to help students and young people develop the skills they need to find jobs. In addition to skill development, these centres are expected to open up job opportunities for those who complete the training.
A total of 65 centres are being established across the state in the first phase. In the old Adilabad district, centres are being set up in Adilabad, Utnoor, Mancherial, and Jannaram. The Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) will oversee the operations of these centres. The centre in Utnoor is especially important, as it will help unemployed youth from poor and tribal communities gain valuable skills.
Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju shared with Deccan Chronicle that the state government aims to use modern technology, including advanced machines and tools, to provide training to unemployed youth. With the support of Tata Technologies, the students trained at these centres will not only contribute to the development of their local areas but also to the state as a whole. Recently, Vedma Bojju laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new advanced training centre in Utnoor.
