HYDERABAD.26.09.2024: In a bid to address the rising issue of unemployment, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana jobs recruitment process will fill 35,000 vacancies over the next two to three months. Speaking during a review meeting at the Secretariat in Hyderabad, he emphasized the Congress government’s goal of expanding job opportunities and increasing the state’s Budget from Rs 3 lakh crore to Rs 7 lakh crore within the next four years.
Recalling previous efforts, Reddy mentioned that 30,000 appointment orders were distributed within the first three months of the government’s tenure. “The Telangana jobs recruitment drive aims to tackle the unemployment crisis, which has significantly worsened over the past decade,” he said while launching the Banking, Finance Services, and Insurance (BFSI) skill training programme.
Skill Development Through Telangana Jobs Recruitment
Acknowledging that the unemployment problem will not be entirely solved even after filling two lakh vacancies, the chief minister underscored the need for skill development initiatives. He explained that nearly three lakh students graduate every year in Telangana, but many lack the skills necessary to secure jobs. To bridge this gap, the Telangana jobs recruitment drive will focus on equipping job seekers with the right skills, starting with the BFSI training programme.
The state is also working to upgrade 65 ITIs into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) in collaboration with Tata Technologies, with plans to transform all ITIs within two years.
Engineering Colleges and Youth Empowerment
In addition to the Telangana jobs recruitment effort, CM Reddy stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in engineering colleges, warning that permissions would be revoked if standards were not met. He also announced the creation of a Young India Skill University to further support the government’s mission of preparing the youth for global competition.
By promoting Hyderabad as a hub for technical skills and a cosmopolitan city, the government aims to position Telangana as a role model for job creation and skill development.
