Hyderabad, March,10,2026: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the police system must be upgraded to meet changing times while addressing the Police Officers Retreat 2026. The event was held on March 9 at the Telangana Police Academy with senior police officials in attendance.
The Chief Minister said strengthening the police force with modern skills and technology is essential to tackle emerging challenges. He noted that the Police Officers Retreat 2026 provides an opportunity to review the future needs of policing in the state.
Speaking at the program, Revanth Reddy advised police leadership to recruit officers with strong technological knowledge. He also suggested preparing a long term action plan for the police department that covers the next twenty five years.
The Chief Minister said technological advancements have led to new forms of crime and stressed the need to strengthen the cyber crime division. He asked officials to improve systems that help prevent cyber related offenses and protect citizens.
Revanth Reddy also recommended exploring the use of artificial intelligence in crime control and criminal identification. According to him, technology based solutions can support faster investigations and better monitoring of criminal activities.
The Police Officers Retreat 2026 was organized at the Telangana Police Academy with the Chief Minister attending as the chief guest. Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy and several senior police officials participated in the meeting.
During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining strong law and order for the overall development of the state. He said that investment and industrial growth depend heavily on a stable and secure environment.
Revanth Reddy stated that investors prefer to set up industries in states where law and order is effectively maintained. Ensuring public safety and security therefore plays a key role in economic development.
