Hyderabad,18.02.2026 : The Telangana government has accelerated the implementation of the Indiramma Housing Review Meeting process in urban areas, setting clear deadlines for beneficiary selection and housing sanctions across Hyderabad and surrounding districts.
Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister chaired a high-level review at the Secretariat to assess the progress of Indiramma Housing within CURE limits.
High-Level Review at Secretariat
The Indiramma Housing Review Meeting was attended by Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad district in-charge ministers and , along with Minority Welfare Minister.
The review covered implementation status in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri and Sangareddy districts, focusing on transparency and timely delivery of housing benefits to the urban poor.
Officials Present at the Meeting
Housing Managing Director, district collectors of the four districts, and commissioners of, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri municipal corporations attended the meeting.
Officials presented district-wise updates and discussed strategies to fast-track pending housing projects.
Key Decisions Taken in Indiramma Housing Review Meeting
- Beneficiary selection process to be completed by the end of March.
- About 28,000 eligible beneficiaries with house sites will receive Indiramma sanction letters by month-end.
- Selection of beneficiaries for completed and incomplete 2BHK houses to be finalized by March-end.
- Incomplete 2BHK houses will be completed with support from the Housing Corporation.
Action Against Bogus Allottees
During the Indiramma Housing Review Meeting, ministers directed officials to take strict action against bogus and non-resident allottees who have illegally occupied housing units.
Such houses will be transparently reallocated to eligible poor families, ensuring fairness in the distribution of government housing benefits.
In-Situ Housing for Slum Areas
The government also proposed in-situ Indiramma Housing projects with G+5 to G+10 structures in identified slum areas.
This approach aims to rehabilitate beneficiaries at their existing locations while improving living conditions and urban infrastructure.
Basic Amenities in 2BHK Colonies
Ministers instructed officials to ensure essential facilities such as drinking water, electricity, and proper drainage systems in all 2BHK housing colonies.
The focus remains on creating livable and sustainable housing environments rather than merely constructing buildings.
Affordable Housing Policy Between RRR and ORR
The Indiramma Housing Review Meeting also discussed the proposal to implement an Affordable Housing Policy in areas located between the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and Outer Ring Road (ORR).
This policy is expected to address the growing housing demand in urban and semi-urban zones surrounding Hyderabad.
Government’s Commitment to Urban Housing
The Telangana government reiterated its commitment to providing dignified housing to the urban poor through transparent beneficiary selection and timely project execution.
Officials were instructed to maintain close coordination and ensure that all deadlines announced during the Indiramma Housing Review Meeting are strictly followed.
