April 13, 2025 | Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has registered a case after morphed images and videos of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy appeared on Facebook.

The complaint was filed by Mettu Sai Kumar, chairman of the Telangana Fishermen Co-Operative Societies Federation (TGFCOF), at the Cybercrime Police Headquarters. He submitted the petition on April 3, along with a Facebook link where the fake content was shared.
The complainant suspects that members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party may be behind the creation and sharing of the manipulated content. He has demanded the immediate removal of the videos and images, a full investigation, and steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Following the complaint, a case has been registered under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2008, and Sections 336(4), 353(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
TGCSB has begun investigating the source of the morphed content and is tracking how it spread on social media.
The investigation is ongoing.
