Nalgonda,March,10,2026: An elderly woman from Nalgonda district approached the collectorate seeking help after alleging harassment by her sons. The Nalgonda elderly woman shared her complaint during the Prajavani programme held on Monday.
The woman, identified as Mutteni Ratnamma, said she came to the Nalgonda Collectorate to explain her situation to officials. While speaking to people present there, she broke down and alleged that her sons were not allowing her to enter the house and were not providing food.
Ratnamma said she belongs to Ramalingalagudem village in Tipparthi mandal of Nalgonda district. She said she has two sons and one daughter.
According to her statement, her husband passed away when the children were still young. She said she raised all three children on her own despite many hardships and later arranged their marriages.
Ratnamma stated that the six acres of land earned by her husband and the house they built with effort were equally divided between her two sons. However, she alleged that after receiving the property, her sons drove her out of the house.
She claimed that despite feeling hungry, she was not given food and was subjected to harassment. Ratnamma said that neighbors in the village noticed her situation and provided her with food and support for a few days.
Despite witnessing her condition, she said her sons did not change their behavior. Due to the situation, she is currently staying with her daughter.
Ratnamma said she came to the Prajavani programme at the Nalgonda Collectorate to bring her issue to the attention of officials and seek assistance.
The Nalgonda elderly woman expressed hope that authorities would listen to her complaint and take necessary action regarding the matter.
