Hyderabad, April 28, 2025: Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday challenged former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) to openly discuss the state’s development in the Assembly.

The minister’s remarks came just hours after KCR addressed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party’s silver jubilee celebrations. Srinivas Reddy criticized KCR, saying he should have admitted the mistakes made during his rule.
“KCR promised to make a Dalit the Chief Minister but never did. He didn’t even give the post of Leader of the Opposition to a Dalit,” said Srinivas. He also accused KCR of falsely claiming that the Congress government was not providing welfare schemes and misusing public funds.
Speaking to the media, the minister alleged that during the BRS government, contractors’ bills were left unpaid and village panchayats were ignored, leaving sarpanches in difficult situations.
He added, “In his speech, KCR made baseless accusations against the Congress government, which is currently working for people’s welfare. It was KCR’s administration that drained Telangana’s wealth and left the state in financial trouble.”
