Telangana Republic Day Celebrations: Governor Unfurls National Flag

Secunderabad, January 26, 2025: Republic Day was celebrated across Telangana with enthusiasm. Governor Jishnu Dev Verma unfurled the national flag at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds and received a salute from the police.

The event was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, MLAs, and senior officials. In his speech, the Governor highlighted the state government’s efforts to support farmers, empower women, and promote youth development.

“Agriculture is the backbone of Telangana’s economy. We have waived loans for over 25 lakh farmers and ensured financial security for agricultural laborers. During the 2024 monsoon season, the state produced 1.59 crore tonnes of paddy. A bonus for low-grade rice has also been provided,” said the Governor.

The Governor also emphasized the government’s initiatives for women and youth:

  • Women have saved ₹4,500 crore through free bus transport.
  • 50 lakh poor families are receiving household lights.
  • A Young India Skill University has been established to empower the youth

To honor Telangana’s culture, the government has declared “Jaya Jayahe,” written by Andesri, as the official state anthem.

The celebrations concluded with patriotic fervor as citizens across the state joined in commemorating the nation’s progress and unity.
