Hyderabad.03.06.2024 : The state government of Telangana has given the green light for regular transfers in Telangana of employees across various departments. This move has created a buzz in all sectors. The Finance Department issued an order on Wednesday evening, lifting the ban on general transfers of state government employees.

To this extent, the guidelines for the transfer of employees in various departments have been released. The transfer process will commence from Friday, July 5, and continue until July 20. Arrangements are being made for the replacement of employees through counseling across the state. The government has mandated the transfer of employees who have been working in the same place for four years by June 30, 2024.

Transfers in Telangana: Transfer Guidelines

Employees who have not completed two years by the specified date will not be transferred. Additionally, those who are set to retire before June 30, 2025, are exempt from transfers. The government will disclose the details of vacancies and employees to be transferred from July 5 to 8. Employees will have the opportunity to choose their options from July 9 to 12. The applications for transfer will be examined from July 13 to 18.

Transfer orders will be issued on July 19 and 20. The ban on employee transfers will be reinstated from July 21.

Priority Transfers

Priority in transfers will be given to employees with more than 70 percent disability, widows, and working couples. Employees with mentally ill children will be transferred to locations with available medical facilities. If an employee, their spouse, children, or parents suffer from severe medical conditions such as cancer, neurosurgery, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, open-heart surgery, or bone TB, they will be transferred to places where medical treatment for these conditions is available.
