Hyderabad.23.09.2024: The Telangana government is set to introduce family digital cards to extend various welfare schemes, including health and ration services, through a single card for each family in the state. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with the Health and Civil Services departments, instructing officials to study the implementation and benefits of similar systems already launched in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Karnataka.

The Telangana government aims to streamline welfare schemes with these digital cards, ensuring beneficiaries can access ration and healthcare services anywhere within the state. Each card will include the health profile of family members, which will aid in the long-term provision of medical services. Officials have been directed to implement this initiative on a pilot basis, selecting both urban and rural areas from each Assembly constituency.

The Telangana governmentโ€™s family digital cards will allow citizens to update family information, such as adding or removing members. A district-level monitoring system will also be established to ensure smooth management of the cards.
