Hyderabad.16.06.2024 : The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has blamed the Telangana state government for delays in the repayment of fixed bond cum certificate payments owed to 27,000 employees.
According to TGSRTC management, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issued a cheque for Rs 280 crore in February this year to cover these payments. However, only Rs 80 crore has been released by the government so far. This initial payment has been distributed to employees in the driver category.
Delay in Release of Funds In TGSRTC
The issue came to light following a news report, “27000 RTC Staff Await PRC Salary Arrears,” published on June 15. In response, TGSRTC stated that the government is still processing the release of the remaining Rs 200 crore. The management assured that they are actively pursuing the matter and will ensure that the remaining employees receive their payments once the funds are released.
“The remaining employees will also be paid once the funds are received from the government,” the TGSRTC said in a statement.
The delay in payments has caused significant distress among the staff, who are eagerly waiting for their dues. The TGSRTC management’s announcement aims to reassure employees that efforts are being made to resolve the issue promptly.
