Chennai,April 11,2026: The Jana Nayagan movie release has been hit by a piracy issue after the film was reportedly leaked online in HD. The development was reported on April 10, 2026, prompting an immediate response from the production team.
KVN Productions, led by Venkat K Narayana, confirmed that scenes and in some cases the full film were illegally accessed and circulated. The makers stated that the leak poses a serious threat to the film’s commercial value.
In an official press release, the production house said strict civil and criminal proceedings will be pursued against those involved. The team also noted that investigations, including forensic analysis, have already been initiated to identify individuals responsible for the leak.
The statement added that every digital action is traceable and efforts are underway to track the entire chain of circulation. Legal counsel Vijayan Subramanian also issued a statement highlighting the scale of investment in the film and its expected theatrical, satellite and OTT value.
The Jana Nayagan movie release had already been delayed due to issues related to censor certification, affecting its planned Pongal 2026 release. The leak has now added further complications for the makers.
Actor Suriya publicly supported the team and condemned the piracy. In a message shared online, he urged audiences not to watch or share the leaked content and called the incident unfair to the efforts of the film’s team.
Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and is billed as Vijay’s final film before shifting his focus to politics. The film features Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The production team is continuing its investigation and has indicated that further legal action will follow as more individuals involved in the leak are identified.
