Google is set to bring its screenless Fitbit Air fitness tracker to Indian stores in October 2026. The wearable is designed for continuous health and fitness monitoring without the distractions of a conventional smartwatch display.

Google Fitbit Air India Launch

The India launch was confirmed during a Google briefing following the company’s latest product announcements. However, Google has not yet disclosed the exact launch date, Indian pricing or retail availability details.

Screenless design focused on health tracking

The Fitbit Air is Google’s compact wearable aimed at users who want health and fitness tracking without a screen. Instead of displaying notifications or fitness data on the wrist, the device syncs with the Google Health app, where users can view their information and receive personalised insights.

According to Google, Fitbit Air can monitor several health and fitness indicators, including heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen levels and heart-rhythm information. It can also automatically detect workouts and is designed to be worn throughout the day and night.

Up to a week of battery life

Google says the Fitbit Air can provide up to a week of battery life. Its small, lightweight design is intended to make continuous wear more comfortable, particularly during sleep.

The device was introduced globally earlier this year with a starting price of $99.99 in the United States. Indian pricing is yet to be announced, so the international price should not be treated as the final India price.

Google expands its health ecosystem

Fitbit Air works with Google’s newer health ecosystem, which brings fitness tracking and personalised health insights together through the Google Health app. The company has positioned the wearable as an option for people who want detailed health information while keeping their wrist free from screens and notifications.

With the India launch planned for October, consumers will have another screen-free wearable option alongside conventional smartwatches and fitness trackers. Google is expected to provide further information about pricing, availability and the precise launch date closer to the release.
