Telangana 2nd PRC: The Telangana Employees, Gazetted Officers, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners Joint Action Committee (TGE-JAC) has demanded immediate action on long-pending employee issues, including implementation of the second Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report, release of six pending Dearness Allowances (DAs), strengthening of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) and scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in favour of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
The demands were discussed at an extended executive committee meeting of the TGE-JAC held at the TNGOs building in Nampally, Hyderabad, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The meeting was chaired by TGE-JAC Chairman Maram Jagadeeshwar and Secretary General Eluri Srinivasa Rao.

EHS Implementation
The JAC said the Employees Health Scheme should be implemented effectively so that employees, pensioners and their family members can access medical treatment without difficulties. It also raised concerns over pending payments to hospitals and called for clear guidelines and better coordination among the departments concerned.
2nd PRC and Pending DAs
On the 2nd PRC report, the JAC demanded that the government obtain and implement the report without further delay. The organisation also sought immediate release of six pending DAs and continuation of the โน2,000 crore monthly allocation being used for clearing employeesโ pending bills.
CPS to OPS Demand
The JAC demanded abolition of CPS and restoration of OPS, including consideration of employees appointed or notified before September 1, 2004. The organisation said pension security should be ensured for employees after retirement.
Protest Programme
The JAC announced a series of protest programmes if the government does not respond positively. These include a one-day maha dharna at all district headquarters on August 27, attendance with black badges until the PRC report is released, statewide protests on September 1 observed as Pension Virodha Dinam, and a maha dharna in Hyderabad on September 10.
