The MG Hector Tomahawk EV has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 19.49 lakh, while the Battery-as-a-Service version starts at an upfront cost of Rs. 13.99 lakh. The new electric SUV gets a 69.2kWh battery pack and an MIDC-claimed driving range of up to 517km.
MG is offering the Hector Tomahawk EV in multiple variants, with the top-end model priced up to Rs. 23.49 lakh, according to the latest pricing details available on August 26. All prices are ex-showroom.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Battery and Performance
The electric SUV uses a 69.2kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. MG claims the Hector Tomahawk EV can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 8.2 seconds.
The model offers a claimed range of 517km under the MIDC test cycle. Using a 90kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in around 35 minutes. A 7.4kW AC charger takes about 12 hours and 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10 per cent to 100 per cent.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Price and Variants
The Hector Tomahawk EV is available in Excite, Exclusive and Essence trims. The SUV is offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, depending on the variant.
The vehicle also supports Vehicle-to-Load, Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Home power functions, allowing the battery to supply electricity to compatible external devices and systems.
Features and Interior
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV comes with a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen featuring gesture controls, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 256-colour ambient lighting, connected-car technology, wireless charging and a 10-speaker Infinity sound system.
The dashboard features an 8.8-inch driver’s display alongside the large central touchscreen. Front-row occupants also get ventilated seats, while higher variants receive powered seat functions and memory settings.
Safety Equipment
Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera system and Level-2 ADAS technology. The driver-assistance package includes Traffic Jam Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning.
The launch expands MG’s electric vehicle lineup in India as competition continues to increase in the premium electric SUV segment. The Hector Tomahawk EV will compete for buyers seeking a long-range electric SUV with three-row seating and advanced connected technology.
