Medak, February ,27,2026: A man from Medak district died after being accidentally electrocuted at his residence on Friday. The incident was reported from Gajawada village in Regode mandal, according to police. The deceased was identified as Kumari Venkaiah, aged 65. Police said he came into contact with live electric wires inside his house.

The incident occurred while Venkaiah was at home. He reportedly received a severe electric shock and collapsed at the spot. Family members noticed the incident and alerted local residents for help. Police were informed soon after and reached the location to assess the situation. Venkaiah was declared dead at the scene, officials said. A case was registered by the police in connection with the incident. The body was shifted to the government hospital in Medak for postmortem examination.

Police officials said the electrocution appeared to be accidental. Initial observations indicated that live electrical wiring inside the house may have caused the incident. Statements from family members and nearby residents are being recorded as part of the investigation. Officials said the postmortem report would provide confirmation of the cause of death. No other injuries or damage were reported from the incident. Police stated that further details would be known after the completion of the investigation. Authorities said necessary action would be taken based on the findings.
