Tummalapalli, March,10,2026: A tipper lorry fire was reported in Nalgonda district of Telangana, leaving the driver seriously injured. The incident occurred in Tummalapalli village of Chandur mandal while the vehicle was heading towards the village for road expansion work.

According to local officials, the tipper lorry suddenly caught fire while traveling on the road near Tummalapalli village. The flames spread rapidly and the vehicle was engulfed within minutes.

Authorities said the tipper lorry fire was likely caused by an electrical short circuit. The vehicle was being used for road widening work in the area when the accident occurred.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the fire intensified quickly and the lorry was completely burned before help could arrive. Thick smoke was seen rising from the vehicle as the flames spread.

The driver of the vehicle suffered severe injuries during the incident. Local people immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Doctors treating the driver stated that his condition is critical. He is currently receiving medical care and remains under observation.

Police officials reached the location soon after the incident was reported. They examined the scene and began an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fire.

Officials said preliminary findings suggest an electrical short circuit triggered the blaze, but further verification is underway.

The incident occurred in Tummalapalli village of Chandur mandal in Nalgonda district. The area has ongoing road expansion works, and heavy vehicles are frequently used to transport construction materials.

Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Further details are expected after the inquiry is completed.
