Hyderabad, March,10,2026: Actress Lavanya Tripathi has filed a complaint with Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police alleging harassment on Instagram. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the account involved.
The Lavanya Tripathi Instagram harassment case came to light after the actress reported that an unidentified individual had been sending abusive and obscene messages through the social media platform.
According to the complaint, the individual had been repeatedly targeting the actress on Instagram for some time. Lavanya Tripathi stated that the person was sending inappropriate messages and using offensive language through the account.
Based on her complaint, the Hyderabad CCS police registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials are currently working to identify the owner of the Instagram account and determine where it is being operated from.
Police are collecting technical details related to the account as part of the probe. A technical team has also been involved in tracing the suspect responsible for the alleged harassment.
Officials stated that strict action will be taken against individuals who misuse social media platforms to target celebrities or engage in online harassment.
