Hyderabad.11.09.2024: A central team will visit the flood-affected regions in Telangana today, Wednesday. The purpose of their visit is to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rains and floods.
The team, made up of nine officers from various departments, will be split into two groups. One group will focus on inspecting damaged crops, while the other will examine the state of roads, canals, and bridges.
From 1:00 PM, they will review over 100 acres of damaged crops in Bhagwatveedu Thanda, Kusumanchi Mandal, and speak with local farmers. Following this, between 1:45 PM and 2:45 PM, they will check the damage in Gudurupadu, Tanagam Padu, and Kasnathanda in Khammam Rural Mandal.
Later, from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM, the team will visit Rakasi Thanda in Tirumalayapalem Mandal and MV.Palem in Khammam Rural Mandal to assess the damage to homes and crops.
The team will then return to Khammam after inspecting damage in Bad district. Tomorrow, Thursday, they will visit Rajeev Grikhakalpa and the Fourth Class Employees Union Colony in Polepalli, Khammam Rural Mandal, from 7:30 AM.
From 8:15 AM to 10:30 AM, they will inspect areas including Bokkalagadda, Motinagar, 35th Division Rear, Prakashnagar, Vaikunthadhamam, Dhamsalapuram, and Kothur. Between 10:40 AM and 11:00 AM, they will check the damage in Jalagamnagar and the MPDO office. They will then proceed to Kodada in Suryapet district.
Additionally, another team of central officials will arrive today to review flood damage. They will inspect PR Road, a culvert, the damaged NNSP canal in Paleru, and the Bhakta Ramdasu lift scheme in Erragadthanda, Jujjulraope, Kusumanchi Mandal, from 1:00 PM to 2:10 PM.
