Hyderabad.16.06.2024 : Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with several key ministers and officials, visited the Command Control Center to discuss and implement strict measures to tackle the challenges posed by the onset of the monsoon season in the twin cities.
Traffic Alerts and Physical Policing
To prevent traffic issues during the monsoon, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for timely traffic alerts via FM radio. He also suggested that physical policing should be enforced to manage traffic effectively. In case of staff shortages, home guards will be recruited to ensure smooth operations.
Revanth Reddy Disscussed Flood Prevention Measures
Officials briefed the Chief Minister that 141 flood-prone areas have been identified in the city. Special measures for flood prevention were discussed, including the setup of water harvesting systems to ensure smooth drainage from high-water areas. All departments are to work in coordination to tackle flooding issues effectively.
Command Control Center Enhancements
The Chief Minister ordered the integration of disaster management systems, with the outer ring road serving as a unit. All CC cameras inside the outer ring road are to be connected to the Command Control Center as soon as possible to enhance monitoring and response capabilities.
High-Level Visit
The visit included Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Chief Secretary to the Government Shanti Kumari, and DGP Ravi Gupta. The team reviewed the preparations and provided guidance to ensure the city is ready for the monsoon season.
