SEBI

Mumbai, June 13, 2024: In a ground-breaking initiative, the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) and (SEBI) the Securities and Exchange Board of India  have launched a free investor-certification program. With the help of this program, investors would be better equipped to understand the nuances of the Indian securities markets.

Overview of the Investor Certification Program

The recently launched certification program waives exam fees and provides participants with free study materials. It is voluntary. It gives people a chance to evaluate how well-versed they are in markets and investing, which helps them on their path to become knowledgeable investors.

SEBI’s Financial Education Vision

Ananth Narayan G, a Whole Time Member of SEBI, underlined the need of digital financial education in the securities industry during the event. He emphasized how the online certification test will help investors better understand the dangers involved in investing and the investment process. This encourages a more effective investing strategy that is in line with investors’ tolerance for risk.
