Hyderabad.31.07.2024: On Wednesday, Jishnu Dev Varma, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, was formally sworn in as the new Telangana Governor. The oath of office was administered by Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with his cabinet colleagues, and Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, were present at the event.
In his address, Jishnu Dev Varma expressed his profound gratitude to the President and Prime Minister of India for the trust placed in him. “I stand before you today as the new Governor of Telangana. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the President of India and the Prime Minister of India for entrusting me with this significant responsibility,” Varma stated.
He praised Telangana’s vibrant spirit and the resilience of its people. “Telangana, nestled in the heart of India, is a land of vibrant life and promise. The spirit of enterprise and innovation thrives in our people, known for their resilience, hard work, and determination,” Varma said.
Varma emphasized his commitment to the education and empowerment of youth, describing them as the state’s greatest assets. “Education and empowerment of youth will be of primary focus as they are our greatest assets. By providing quality education and opportunities, we can pave the way for a brighter future,” he noted. He also highlighted the importance of accessible quality healthcare services, including preventive measures and public health initiatives.
In his closing remarks, Varma reiterated his dedication to promoting inclusivity and social justice, urging citizens to unite in building a future that is equitable and sustainable. “I am deeply committed to promoting inclusivity and social justice.
