Eligibility Criteria
For Paper 1 covering Classes 1 to 5, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50 percent marks along with a 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualification. For Paper 2 covering Classes 6 to 8, candidates must have a graduation degree along with B.Ed or equivalent qualification. Relaxation in marks is applicable for reserved categories.
Exam Pattern and Qualifying Marks
The examination will be conducted in two levels including Paper 1 for primary classes and Paper 2 for upper primary classes. The exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode with multiple choice questions. The duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours and there will be no negative marking.
The qualifying marks are 60 percent for general category candidates, while lower qualifying marks are applicable for reserved category candidates as per rules.
