New Delhi, May 20,2026: The SBI Recruitment 2026 process for Specialist Cadre Officers has started, with the State Bank of India inviting applications for Trade Finance Officer posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official SBI website from May 13 to June 2, 2026.
According to the official notification, the recruitment drive aims to fill 100 vacancies across different categories under the Specialist Cadre Officer cadre.
Candidates applying for the Trade Finance Officer role must be between 23 and 32 years of age. Applicants should hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
The bank has also made certification in Forex Operations from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance mandatory for applicants. The certificate must have been issued on or before April 30, 2026.
Preferred qualifications include Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists, Certificate in Trade Finance, or Certificate in International Banking. These certificates should also be dated on or before April 30, 2026.
Applicants must have at least two years of experience in trade finance processing in a supervisory or official role at any scheduled commercial bank.
The job profile includes scrutiny of trade finance documents, processing forex and trade finance transactions, reconciliation of related entries, and handling other international business back-office operations.
The selection process will consist of shortlisting and interview rounds. SBI stated in the notification that the final merit list will be prepared based only on interview scores.
If two or more candidates secure the same cut-off marks, ranking will be decided according to age in descending order.
The bank has advised candidates to carefully read all eligibility conditions before submitting their applications. The online application window will remain open until June 2, 2026.
This recruitment is part of SBI’s ongoing hiring process for specialist banking positions in international trade and forex operations.
