New Delhi, April 13,2026: The CBSE result date April 2026 is expected to be announced soon as the Central Board of Secondary Education prepares to release Class 10 board exam results for the 2026 session. While no official confirmation has been issued, reports suggest the Class 10 result may be declared before the end of April.
Nearly 43 lakh students are awaiting the CBSE board results this year, including around 25 lakh Class 10 candidates. The board is reportedly working on an accelerated evaluation schedule due to the second round of board examinations planned for May 2026.
According to updates, examiners are evaluating 20 answer sheets per day for major subjects and 25 sheets for other subjects during an eight-hour work period. With the adoption of On-Screen Marking processes, the evaluation timeline has reportedly been shortened compared to previous years.
CBSE Class 10 board exams for 2026 began on February 17 and concluded on March 11, while Class 12 examinations ended on April 10, 2026.
Though the board has not announced a final result date, Class 10 results are expected before the last week of April. Class 12 results are likely to be declared before the second week of May 2026, following previous result patterns.
Students who score slightly below the passing criteria may receive grace marks under CBSE’s existing moderation policy. To pass the board examination, candidates must secure at least 33 percent overall marks.
Once released, students can check their results through the official CBSE portals, including results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG.
To access their marksheets online, students will need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin.
CBSE has also introduced a second set of board exams from 2026 onward, allowing students to improve scores in up to three subjects, making this academic year a significant shift in the board examination process.
The board is expected to issue an official notification regarding the exact result declaration date shortly.
