Hyderabad.16.09.2024: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has stated that winning 15 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be a major victory for the Congress party in the state. He described Congress’ win in the 2023 Assembly elections as only the “semifinals,” with the Lok Sabha elections being the ultimate goal.
At the oath-taking ceremony of Mahesh Kumar Goud, the new Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, Revanth Reddy said that the true victory would be Congress securing the majority in Telangana’s 17 Lok Sabha seats. He emphasized that the party’s final aim is to help Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister by 2029.
Revanth Reddy highlighted his government’s achievements, including waiving farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh, helping 23 lakh farmers, implementing Sonia Gandhi’s six guarantees, enhancing the Rajiv Arogyasri health scheme, and providing 200 units of free electricity. The government also introduced a Rs500 bonus per quintal for fine paddy and created 30,000 jobs within the first three months.
Reddy also mentioned the creation of the Young India Skill University and the development of Hyderabad as a modern city. He urged the party to continue working hard and called for the appointment of a full-time TPCC president to make Telangana a national example.
