Mumbai,April 04,2026: Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma, the current Rohit Sharma Orange Cap holder, said shotmaking was not easy after scoring 35 runs against Delhi Capitals on April 4, 2026. His innings helped Mumbai Indians post 162 for 6 in the IPL match.

Rohit Sharma scored 35 runs off 26 balls in the match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday. His innings, along with stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav’s 51, helped Mumbai Indians reach a total of 162 for 6.

After the innings, Rohit said the pitch was slow and batting was not easy. He said players needed time to settle before playing shots.

He said it looked like a slow wicket and the team needed to spend time in the middle before attacking. He added that Mumbai Indians managed to put a decent score on the board.

Rohit also spoke about the team’s bowling plans. He said the team would try to control the match in the first six overs by taking early wickets and then assess the game situation.

Mumbai Indians finished their innings at 162 for 6, with Rohit Sharma contributing 35 runs and Suryakumar Yadav scoring 51 runs as stand-in captain.

The match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians took place on April 4, 2026, as part of the Indian Premier League season. Rohit Sharma is currently the Orange Cap holder in the tournament.

The focus then shifted to Mumbai Indians’ bowling performance as they aimed to defend the total against Delhi Capitals.
