Hyderabad,30.06.2024: In a significant move, the Telangana government is updating its policy on teacher transfers in Telangana to improve education quality. The revised approach will allocate teachers based on the number of students at each school, ensuring that resources are distributed more effectively.
Previously, under government orders from 2015, schools with 0-19 students had one teacher, those with 20-60 students had two, and schools with 61-90 students had three teachers.
The updated teacher transfer policy now allocates one teacher for schools with 1-10 students, two for schools with 11-40 students, and three for schools with 41-60 students. For schools with more than 61 students, the allocation process will carefully consider each school’s needs instead of automatically filling all positions.
This approach aims to ensure that teacher transfers lead to better educational outcomes by addressing the specific requirements of different schools.
