Motorola has launched the Moto G Max in India at a price of ₹27,999, with sales set to begin on August 20. The Indian version comes with different hardware from the Moto G Max launched in Brazil, including a Snapdragon processor, a larger battery and a different camera setup.
The Motorola Moto G Max is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and is offered in a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone runs Android 16 out of the box, with Motorola confirming two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the Indian model.
Display and battery
The smartphone features a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 2,400 x 1,080-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and supports water touch functionality, allowing users to operate it with wet fingers.
One of the major highlights is the 7,000mAh battery. Motorola includes a 33W power adapter in the Indian retail package, while the phone supports 30W charging.

Cameras and other features
The Moto G Max has a dual-camera system on the rear, comprising a 50MP LYTIA 600 primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 119.5-degree field of view. A 32MP front-facing camera is provided for selfies and video calls.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 protection and MIL-STD-810H certification. The Indian model also supports FM Radio but does not include NFC. Bluetooth 5.1 is supported.

Price and availability in India
The Motorola Moto G Max is priced at ₹27,999 in India and will be available in Pantone Stargazer, Pantone Alaskan Blue and Pantone Malaga colour options. Sales are scheduled to begin on August 20 through Motorola’s Indian website, Flipkart and leading retail stores.
The Indian Moto G Max therefore differs significantly from the Brazilian model, particularly in its processor, memory configuration, cameras and battery capacity. Motorola has positioned the new phone with a strong focus on battery capacity while retaining features such as a 120Hz display, stereo speakers and Android 16.
