Bhadrachalam,March,30,2026: Bhadragiri Mart Bhadrachalam has been established to promote tribal products and support rural livelihoods in the region. The mart was developed under the initiative of ITDA Project Officer Rahul IAS and will be available to the public from Sri Rama Navami.
The Bhadragiri Mart has been set up near the vegetable market in Bhadrachalam town. The building, which was earlier used as a tribal bazaar, has been renovated and redesigned using ITDA funds to create a modern market space for tribal and rural products.
The main objective of the mart is to encourage tribal self help groups by providing marketing support for their products. Various tribal and forest based products will be available in the mart at reasonable prices for local residents.
Products available at the mart include bamboo items, forest honey, wild turmeric, pickles, snacks, handicrafts, herbal soaps, grocery items, millets, and personal care products. Many useful daily items produced by tribal communities will be sold through this mart.
Officials said the mart was established to create employment and livelihood opportunities for tribal communities and rural self help groups. The initiative aims to provide better market access for tribal products and increase their income opportunities.
ITDA Project Officer Rahul IAS has taken several initiatives for tribal development in Bhadrachalam. Earlier, a Tribal Museum was established to preserve tribal culture and traditions, which has become a popular attraction for visitors.
Along with education and agriculture support initiatives, the Bhadragiri Mart Bhadrachalam has now been launched to provide market support for tribal produce and forest products. The mart is expected to create employment opportunities and improve livelihoods for many tribal families in the region.
The mart will officially be available to the public from Sri Rama Navami.
