Hyderabad,March,19,2026: The weather in Hyderabad has turned cooler after rainfall earlier this week, bringing relief to residents from rising temperatures. According to the weather department, the city may witness partly cloudy skies and possible thunderstorms on Thursday.
Rainfall recorded on Tuesday and Wednesday helped reduce daytime heat in the Telangana capital. While the unseasonal rains have created difficulties for farmers in several districts, city residents experienced temporary relief from the intense summer conditions.
Officials indicated that temperatures may gradually rise again across the state, including in Hyderabad, in the coming days. For Thursday, the city is expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of thunderstorms, particularly during the afternoon hours.
The maximum temperature in Hyderabad is likely to range between 31°C and 33°C during the day. Heat intensity may increase between 11 am and 4 pm. However, intermittent cloud cover could provide occasional relief from direct sunlight.
The minimum temperature is expected to remain around 20°C, keeping early mornings and late nights relatively cooler. Humidity levels are forecast to vary between 41 percent and 80 percent, which may cause mild discomfort during the afternoon.
Wind speeds are expected to range from 5 to 10 kilometres per hour, with dry winds likely to blow across the city. Weather officials also indicated the possibility of thunder and light rain in some areas.
Across Telangana, several northern and eastern districts are already experiencing higher temperatures. In districts such as Ramagundam, Nizamabad, Khammam and Adilabad, temperatures have crossed 35°C. Weather authorities have warned that mild heatwave conditions could develop in these regions over the next two days.
Meanwhile, southern districts including Mahabubnagar and Wanaparthy are likely to experience dry weather conditions. Falling groundwater levels and hot winds could increase the impact of heat on residents in these areas.
Medical experts have advised people to take precautions as temperatures begin to rise. Residents are encouraged to drink at least three to four litres of water daily to prevent dehydration.
They also recommend reducing spicy foods and increasing the intake of fruits, buttermilk and coconut water. People stepping outside during afternoon hours are advised to use umbrellas or wear hats for protection.
Light coloured cotton clothing is also suggested to stay comfortable during the warmer part of the day. Farmers have been advised to irrigate crops during early morning or evening hours to reduce moisture loss due to heat.
With summer conditions gradually strengthening across Telangana, authorities expect temperatures to increase further in the coming week. Residents in Hyderabad are advised to limit outdoor travel during peak afternoon hours whenever possible.
