Hyderabad Woman Cheating Case: Woman Accused of Collecting Rs 25 Crore and Going Absconding

Hyderabad, March,08,2026: A woman in Hyderabad is accused of collecting more than Rs 25 crore from several people by promising high interest returns and later going absconding. Multiple complaints have been filed by victims at Vanasthalipuram Police Station.

Hyderabad Woman Cheating Case

The incident has created concern among residents after several victims alleged that the accused woman, identified as Baddam Jyothi Reddy, borrowed large sums of money from different individuals promising attractive interest rates.

According to the complaints, Jyothi Reddy reportedly collected money from several people and later stopped responding to them. Victims claim that the total amount involved in the case has crossed Rs 25 crore.

Some victims also alleged that the accused had entered into an agreement regarding her house with one party and later executed a sale deed for the same property with another person. This has raised further allegations of financial fraud.

Several victims approached the police stating that they had invested their savings after being promised high returns. Many of them said they are now facing severe financial difficulties after the accused allegedly disappeared.

Police said complaints have been received from multiple individuals in connection with the case. On Saturday, another complainant approached the Vanasthalipuram Police Station stating that the accused had taken Rs 46 lakh and failed to repay the amount.

Vanasthalipuram Inspector Mahesh confirmed that the police have received the complaints and are looking into the matter. He said a case has been registered against the accused woman.

Police officials stated that an investigation has been initiated to verify the allegations and identify the total number of victims involved in the case.

Authorities are continuing the probe and are expected to collect further details related to the financial transactions mentioned in the complaints.
