karimnagar,March,21,2026:Karimnagar Two Town Sub Inspector Chandrasekhar died by suicide on March 21 in Karimnagar district. His death comes just five days after his wife Divya died following a suicide attempt.
According to reports, Chandrasekhar was working as the Two Town Sub Inspector in Karimnagar. His wife Divya had attempted suicide earlier by consuming poisonous oleander seeds and was admitted to a hospital in Karimnagar where she later died while undergoing treatment.
Family members stated that Divya had been suffering from stomach pain for some time and was reportedly unable to bear the pain, which led to her suicide attempt. After her death, tensions arose during the funeral when some villagers and relatives allegedly blamed Chandrasekhar for her death and attempted to attack him. Divya’s parents intervened and protected him at the time.
Following his wife’s death, Chandrasekhar was said to be under severe mental stress and emotional distress. He later went to his in laws house in Seethampet village of Illanthakunta mandal for the fifth day ceremony of his wife.
While family members were present in the house, Chandrasekhar reportedly went into a room and locked the door. When he did not come out for a long time, relatives became suspicious and broke open the door, where they found him unconscious after attempting suicide by hanging.
He was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Jammikunta, but doctors confirmed that he had already died.
The couple is survived by their two sons, who have now lost both parents within a span of five days. The incident has caused shock and grief among relatives and local residents.
