Manuguru, February,28,2026: Manuguru sanitation issues were raised before the municipal administration on February 28, 2026, as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner. The representation was made following instructions from Bhadradri district BRS president Rega Kantha Rao.

Manuguru sanitation issues

The memorandum was submitted by BRS Town Youth President Gurram Srujan, who highlighted growing public health concerns in Manuguru municipality. He stated that inadequate sanitation and poor drainage maintenance had affected residents across several wards.

According to the memorandum, drainage lines in the town have not been cleaned regularly, leading to stagnant wastewater. This situation has resulted in a sharp increase in mosquito breeding in residential areas.

The BRS leaders informed the municipal authorities that residents were facing health problems due to the spread of mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, typhoid, and malaria. They said people of all age groups were being affected, causing concern among families.

The memorandum urged the municipal administration to immediately begin mosquito control measures across the town. It also called for the use of bleaching powder, systematic cleaning of drainage canals, and removal of garbage from residential localities.

The party leaders requested that complete sanitation drives be conducted in every ward on a regular basis. They stressed that such programmes were necessary to ensure a healthy living environment for the people of Manuguru.

In addition to sanitation, the memorandum also addressed drinking water concerns ahead of the summer season. The leaders asked officials to take advance steps to prevent water shortages during the coming months.

They stated that timely planning and monitoring of water supply systems would help avoid difficulties for residents during peak summer.

The memorandum submission was carried out under the direction of district BRS president Rega Kantha Rao, party leaders said. They expressed hope that the municipal administration would respond promptly to the issues raised.

Several youth leaders participated in the programme, including constituency youth leader Paddam Srinivas, youth leaders Jakkam Ranjith, Thuraka Srinivas, Edari Samba, and others.

The BRS representatives said they would continue to follow up with officials until concrete action was taken on sanitation and drinking water management in the town.

What happens next: Municipal authorities are expected to review the memorandum and initiate sanitation and preventive measures in affected wards.
