New Delhi, March,04,2026: Revanth Reddy meets Amit Shah in the national capital on Wednesday night. The Telangana Chief Minister reached the Union Home Minister’s office for discussions on key issues.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is on a busy visit to New Delhi. He is scheduled to hold talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as part of his engagements in the capital.
Senior Telangana officials accompanied the Chief Minister. Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy, SIB IG Sumathi, and Intelligence Additional Director Vijay Kumar were present during the visit.
According to information available, several important matters are expected to be discussed in the meeting. The visit comes at a time when recent developments related to Maoist activity in Telangana have drawn national attention.
In the first week of March, several senior Maoist leaders surrendered before the Telangana government. Those who reportedly laid down arms include Devji alias Tippiri Tirupati, Malla Rajireddy, and Noone Narasimha Reddy. They surrendered before police in the forests of Asifabad district.
The Centre’s ongoing anti-Maoist initiative, Operation Kagar, is nearing completion. The simultaneous surrender of senior leaders in Telangana has led to discussions at the national level.
There have also been media reports stating that Maoist party secretary Ganapathi alias Muppala Lakshmana Rao is currently in Nepal and is facing age-related health issues. Reports further suggested that efforts are being made to bring him back to India, though there has been no official confirmation.
Ganapathi’s brother had earlier appealed through the media for him to surrender. Officials in Telangana have been credited with playing a key role in facilitating the recent surrenders.
Sources indicate that Amit Shah may acknowledge the role of Telangana Police during the meeting. However, no official statement has been released regarding the agenda or outcomes of the talks so far.
