During the visit, they spoke with representatives from Foxconn, a key supplier for Apple. They also held a video conference with Sidney Lu, CEO of Foxconn Interconnect Technology. The Chief Minister asked about the current status of the project and assured that the government would provide all necessary infrastructure support. He encouraged Foxconn to explore more investment opportunities in areas like electric vehicles and lithium batteries.

This visit is important as sources say Foxconn will soon begin trial production at the facility. The plant, with a total investment of ₹4,833 crore, is expected to start commercial production by the end of the year, with earpods being one of the first products. The project is set to create 25,000 jobs over five years, with ₹800 crore already invested as of August.

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu met Revanth Reddy during his India visit in August and showed interest in expanding investments in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister offered support, including incentives and approvals for new factories. In May 2023, Foxconn started construction on a $550 million facility in Kongarakalan.

Former Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao also shared that the first phase of Foxconn’s factories, covering 1.6 million sq. ft., is now complete and ready for inauguration.

This new development strengthens the partnership between Foxconn and Telangana, ensuring future growth and job opportunities.
