Hyderabad,March,23,2026: Telangana Chief Minister E. Revanth Reddy distributed compensation of 1 crore rupees to the families of electricity department employees who lost their lives while on duty. The event took place during an assembly session in Hyderabad, with the presence of senior ministers and officials.
The compensation was handed over by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with other ministers. Families of employees Suresh and Mukhtar Baig received the financial aid directly from the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also announced an increase in the Rajiv Arogyasri insurance limit for government employees. The coverage has been raised from 5 lakh rupees to 10 lakh rupees, ensuring all families identified by the CPEC survey receive 5 lakh rupees in insurance benefits.
The CM emphasized that family insurance has been implemented to prevent financial hardship for households in case of the head of the family passing away. The program aims to provide financial stability and support for affected families.
The cheque distribution ceremony was conducted in the Assembly Committee Hall and attended by ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Dhanasari Anasuya, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Vivek Venkataswamy, and Mohammad Azharuddin. Senior officials were also present to witness the event.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka was praised by the Chief Minister for his role in supporting the families of the deceased employees. The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure welfare and protection for electricity department workers and their families.
This compensation program marks the state government’s commitment to the welfare of employees who risk their lives during duty. The Rajiv Arogyasri insurance enhancement is expected to benefit families in future emergencies as well.
