Telangana CM urges Telugu people in Gulf to remain alert

Hyderabad,March,01,2026: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on March 1 urged Telugu people living in Gulf countries to remain alert amid reports of ongoing conflict in parts of the region. He advised them to strictly follow safety advisories issued by Indian embassies.

The Chief Minister said the Telangana government is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to coordinate with the Union government if any assistance is required.

Revanth Reddy appealed to Telugu people residing in Iran and other Gulf nations to adhere to safety guidelines and official warnings issued by Indian missions from time to time.

He stated that in the event of an emergency, the state government would work with the Centre to ensure the safe return of Telugu citizens. Officials have been directed to remain prepared and take appropriate measures if needed.

The Chief Minister also instructed authorities to maintain regular contact with Indian embassies and consulates in the affected countries. He said the government is receiving continuous updates on the condition of people from Telangana living in the region.

Revanth Reddy reiterated that the safety of Telangana citizens is the state government’s top priority. He expressed hope that all Telugu people abroad remain safe during the prevailing situation.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu enquired about the safety and well-being of Telugu people living in Bahrain following reports of tensions after Iran’s attack on a US naval base.

Officials estimate that about 50,000 people from Andhra Pradesh are employed in Bahrain. A large number of them belong to Narsipatnam Assembly constituency in Anakapalli district, which is represented by the Speaker.

Ayyanna Patrudu spoke to a few Telugu people in Bahrain and sought information about their current situation. He advised the community to remain alert, stay in safe places, and follow advisories issued by local authorities.

The Speaker assured them that the Andhra Pradesh government is ready to extend help through the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society in case of any emergency.

He added that if required, he would approach Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu to facilitate the safe return of Telugu people to India.
