CM Clarifies Telangana District Reorganization Rumours
Putting an end to speculation around Telangana district reorganization, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the state government is not considering abolishing any district or creating new ones.
He addressed the issue during the “Praja Palamana – Pragati Bata” public meeting held at Chelpuru village in Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district.
The Chief Minister stated that certain groups were deliberately spreading misinformation to create fear among the public. He described such claims as baseless and politically motivated.
“We want to clearly tell the four crore people of Telangana that neither removal of any district nor formation of a new district is under consideration,” he said.
He added that if any future need for rationalization arises, the government would openly discuss it in the Assembly and take public and opposition suggestions before making decisions.
Bhupalapalli Will Continue on Development Path
Revanth Reddy emphasized that Bhupalapalli is a fast-growing and dynamic region. He said the people are intelligent enough to recognize false campaigns and conspiracies.
The government, he assured, remains committed to strengthening infrastructure, governance, and public services in the district rather than reducing administrative units.
“No matter how many conspiracies are created, we will take Bhupalapalli forward on the path of development,” he affirmed.
Singareni Medical Board Will Not Be Abolished
Reacting to another major concern, the Chief Minister firmly rejected rumours regarding the cancellation of the Singareni Medical Board.
Thousands of families depend on Singareni coal mines across districts from Adilabad to Khammam. False messages suggesting that worker benefits and medical services would be withdrawn had caused anxiety among employees.
Calling the reports “poisonous propaganda,” Revanth Reddy clarified that the government has absolutely no such proposal.
“The Singareni workers carried this government on their shoulders. We will never take any decision that harms their interests,” he assured.
He stressed that employee welfare remains a top priority and the Medical Board will continue functioning for the benefit of workers and their families.
Pushkaras 2027 and Tourism Development Plans
The Chief Minister also shared details about preparations for the 2027 Pushkaras festival.
Temples located along the Godavari basin, from Basara to Bhadrachalam, will be developed as major tourist destinations. Resorts will be built in forest areas to promote eco-tourism and create employment opportunities.
He recalled the successful organization of the Saraswati Pushkaras and the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, which attracted nearly two crore devotees.
“Medaram was decorated in a way that people will remember for a thousand years,” he said proudly.
₹6,116 Crore for Warangal Development
Highlighting development initiatives, Revanth Reddy announced that ₹6,116 crore has been allocated for various projects in municipalities of the joint Warangal district.
The funds will be used for infrastructure, civic amenities, and public welfare schemes to boost regional growth.
He also remembered the historic contribution of Warangal district, Kakatiya University, Osmania University, and Professor Jayashankar during different phases of the Telangana statehood movement.
Financial Support to Women’s Groups
During the meeting, the Chief Minister handed over a bank linkage cheque worth ₹205 crore to the ‘Sammakka–Saralamma Zilla Mahila Samakhya’.
The assistance aims to strengthen women’s self-help groups and improve livelihoods across the region.
Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, and several public representatives attended the event.
Government Stands Firm
Revanth Reddy concluded by reiterating that the government’s focus is on development, transparency, and public welfare.
He urged citizens not to believe unverified rumours about Telangana district reorganization or worker-related institutions and to trust official information only.
The Chief Minister’s strong clarification has helped ease concerns among residents and Singareni workers across the state.
