A man from Telangana’s Mahabubabad district has approached police alleging that his wife and her alleged lover conspired to kill him and make the murder appear like a road accident. Police have registered a Zero FIR and are investigating the allegations, including WhatsApp and Instagram messages submitted by the complainant.
Gade Rajeshwar Rao, a resident of Chilakodu village, alleged that his wife Bhavani was involved in a relationship with Saidulu, who works for a courier service. Rao said he married Bhavani in 2016 and that they have two children. He is employed at a private hospital in Khammam.
According to the complaint, Rao returned home for lunch on July 27 and allegedly found his wife with another man. A village panchayat was subsequently held in the presence of local elders. Rao further alleged that on July 28, while he was travelling to a nearby village to bring his elder brother, Saidulu followed him.
Rao later said he checked his wife’s phone and found WhatsApp and Instagram conversations that he believed indicated a plan to kill him. He alleged that the messages included a request to kill him in an accident and make the incident appear to be a road mishap.
The complainant said he took screenshots of the alleged conversations and submitted them to the police. He approached Dornakal Police Station on August 1, stating that he feared for his life and requesting protection.
The matter was subsequently forwarded to Khammam Rural Police Station, where a Zero FIR was filed. Rao later approached the Khammam Rural police again, alleging that no effective action had been taken and seeking an early investigation.
A Khammam Rural Circle Inspector confirmed that the complaint had been received and said the allegations would be investigated. Police are examining the alleged digital conversations, verifying the claims made by the complainant and recording statements as part of the investigation.
The allegations against the woman and her alleged associate have not been established in court. Police are yet to complete their investigation, and further action will depend on the evidence gathered during the probe.
