According to the representation circulated by the association, the Joint Action Committee has requested the Telangana government to consider several demands concerning Field Technical Employees (FTEs) and other Rural Development staff. The association stated that the issues relate to employee welfare, career progression and implementation of service benefits.

Key Demands Raised by the JAC

The representation lists multiple demands, including implementation of an appropriate pay scale for all FTEs and VB-G RAM G staff, introduction of a Career Advancement Policy with promotions, fixation of cadre strength based on service and seniority, enhancement of special allowance for CO&AA staff to Rs.5,000, increase in Field Travelling Allowance for FTEs to Rs.6,000, overtime allowance for MCC and district-level staff, revision of grades and increments under the Pay Matrix, extension of gratuity benefits, revision of EPF, conversion of non-FTEs into FTEs, enhancement of honorarium for MCC Attenders and implementation of the Employee Health Scheme (EHS).

Representation Followed by Protest Schedule

The schedule released by the association states that representations are being submitted to MPDOs, Project Officers, District Collectors, DRDOs and ZP CEOs between July 27 and July 29, 2026. Employees are also scheduled to wear black badges on July 30 as a peaceful protest.

The schedule also includes a protest at the Commissioner’s Office (CRD) in Hyderabad on August 3 and submission of representations to the Honorable Ministers on August 4.

Association’s Statement

In its representation, the association has appealed to the authorities to address the pending issues at the earliest. It stated that if the demands are not considered, employees will continue the announced protest programme, including pen-down and dharna activities, as per the released schedule.

Background

The Telangana Rural Development Employees Welfare Association represents employees working under the VB-G RAM G framework and has been raising service-related issues through representations and organizational forums. The latest programme outlines a phased approach beginning with official representations before escalating to protest activities.

Outlook

The protest schedule notes that it is subject to change and may be updated from time to time. Any response from the Telangana government regarding the demands or further discussions with employee representatives is awaited.
