New Delhi,May 02,2026: The NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted across the country on Sunday, May 3. The national-level medical entrance test will take place in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM.
According to officials, the NEET UG 2026 exam is being organized for admissions into MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses for the 2026–27 academic year. The exam will be conducted in offline mode using pen and paper.
Authorities have completed all necessary arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. As in previous years, a large number of candidates have registered. More than 2.2 million students have applied for the exam nationwide.
In Telangana, over 70,000 candidates appeared for the exam last year. This year, officials expect around 75,000 students from the state to take part in the test.
Candidates are instructed to reach their examination centres by 1:00 PM. Entry beyond the reporting time will not be allowed. Students must carry valid identification documents such as Aadhaar card or voter ID card along with a recent passport-size photograph.
The NEET UG exam is conducted annually for admission to undergraduate medical courses in government and private colleges across India. It remains one of the largest entrance examinations in the country.
The examination will conclude at 5:20 PM on Sunday, after which further processes related to evaluation and results will follow as per schedule.
