The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG-SET) 2026 notification process has commenced with the release of the online application schedule. Candidates aspiring for Assistant Professor and Ph.D. eligibility in Telangana can submit their applications through the official TG-SET portal from August 3, 2026.
According to a press note issued by the Office of the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG-SET), Osmania University, Hyderabad, online applications will be accepted without a late fee until August 30, 2026. The schedule also includes deadlines for applications with late fees, the correction window, hall ticket download date, and the tentative examination schedule.
As per the official announcement, online registration will commence on August 3, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications without any late fee between August 3 and August 30, 2026.
Applicants who miss the initial deadline can still apply by paying a late fee. Applications with a late fee of Rs. 1,500 plus the registration fee will be accepted from August 31 to September 5, 2026. Those applying between September 6 and September 10, 2026 must pay a late fee of Rs. 2,000 in addition to the registration fee, while applications submitted between September 11 and September 12, 2026 will attract a late fee of Rs. 3,000 plus the registration fee.
The application correction facility will remain available from September 13 to September 15, 2026, allowing candidates to edit eligible fields in their submitted applications. Hall tickets are scheduled to be available for download from September 22, 2026.
According to the official press note signed by Prof. B. Srinivas, Member Secretary, TG-SET 2026 examinations are expected to be conducted during the last week of September 2026.
The Telangana State Eligibility Test is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor positions and admission to Ph.D. programmes in universities and colleges across Telangana. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline and carefully verify all information before submission.
