On Friday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with officials at the state secretariat to discuss the latest updates on the panchayat elections.

He directed that the new voter list should be finalized by the first week of August. Once the list is ready, the BC Commission has been instructed to submit their reports within a specified period.

A decision regarding the conduct of elections will be made based on the commission’s report. According to sources, it appears that panchayat elections may be held in September or October. The tenure of the Gram Panchayat administration ended on January 31 this year, and by August 1, six months will have passed since then. Telangana has a total of 12,769 gram panchayats, and elections for these will be held soon.
