Speaking at a public meeting in Dharmaram mandal, Vikramarka shared Telangana’s goal of generating 20,000 MW of green power by 2029-30. He criticized those who doubted the power supply under Congress rule, stating that the government’s actions have proved them wrong.

He mentioned that a pilot project for installing solar panels in 25-30 villages is already underway, benefiting farmers by allowing them to sell excess solar power to the government. This surplus power will be integrated into the state’s electricity grid. In addition to farmers, households in selected villages will also receive solar panels, with any extra power linked to the grid.

Vikramarka announced the revival of the delayed Ramagundam thermal power plant using supercritical technology. The foundation for an 800 MW power plant at Ramagundam, with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore, will be laid soon, he added.

He also highlighted the Congress government’s efforts to waive farm loans, with Rs 18,000 crore already credited to farmers. In contrast, he accused the previous BRS government of corruption.

Additionally, the deputy CM mentioned that Rs 18 crore has been released for a long-pending rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) package for Dharmaram and nearby areas. He praised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Sridhar Babu for bringing in investments worth Rs 36,000 crore from around the world.
