Hyderabad.23.09.2024: Heavy rains in Hyderabad struck overnight, bringing powerful thunderstorms and lightning across the city. Starting at around 4:00 AM, intense downpours lashed multiple areas, causing significant rainfall.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), Sardarmahal in the Malakpet circle recorded the highest rainfall of 59.3 mm, while Charminar’s Rooplal Bazar followed with 58.0 mm. Other areas, including Mekalmandi and Rein Bazar, also saw over 50 mm of rain.
The city is expected to witness continued heavy rains in Hyderabad throughout the day, prompting the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to stay on alert for potential flooding and tree falls.
